Now the dust has settled on my Tour, I’ve gone back and checked the Give a Little page set up for my ride.
Wow!!! From your combined generosity, you all have donated $1,001 to Camp Quality, a charity that brings joy to outdoor experiences to children with cancer. That you have all reached into your pockets for this cause as well as support me with your encourage and actions in my Tour speaks volumes for the kindness in you all and the confidence you’ve shown in me 🙂
Hugs to you all – you showed confidence and gave me support, when screw-up after screw-up made the conclusion of the ride for me more uncertain.and thank you from Camp Quality 😀
NEXT STEPS
My bike is currently in the bike shop being brought back up to scratch for more bikepacking. This time, I’m going to be riding with an expert: John Keene. John and I go way back to my early IT days, and he’s an experienced biker, having completed the Tour in 2016.
As well has giving me great advice during the ride, John’s offered to help me improve my skills. I’ll learn as much as I can, do some smaller rides, and have another crack. And I’ll ride with a group of people 🙂
